About The Cottage
The Cottage on Kingsley was built on the belief that everyday spaces shape everyday life.
Not in a dramatic way.
In the quiet, lived-in, ritual kind of way.
What started with a love of fashion — layering, texture, silhouette — evolved into interior design when we purchased our lake house in 2020. Renovating it awakened something deeper: the art of curating moments.
Morning light in the kitchen.
A dinner table is set before guests arrive.
A bathroom that feels composed before the day even begins.
Design isn’t about excess. It’s about intention.
And in hospitality? It’s about how people feel the second they walk through the door — and whether they want to stay.
That’s where everything begins to shift.
BEHIND THE DESIGN
Meet the Founder,
Jess Bergeron
I grew up in hospitality.
I understand the rhythm of a dining room at full capacity. The choreography behind a bar at peak service. The difference between a space that feels seamless — and one that feels like a scramble.
My husband and I are lifelong food lovers and craft cocktail enthusiasts. We travel often, paying attention not just to the menu, but to the lighting, the layout, the staff presence, the way the space carries the brand.
That lens carries into every project.
For residential clients, especially those who value expertise and don’t want ten logo-covered sofas to prove it — I design layered homes rooted in craftsmanship and durability. Elevated, yes. But approachable. Lived in. Real.
For hospitality owners, I design environments that support the service instead of fighting it. Spaces that reduce seasonal slumps by strengthening brand cohesion and guest experience.
Clients come to me with ideas.
They leave with transformation.
Spaces that feel storied.
Considered.
Fully realized.
